Meet the Doc

Dr. Morgan West McCaskill grew up in the foothills of North Carolina on her family's dairy farm. She got her first horse at 5 years old and has continued to ride and be a part of the industry ever since. She continued her path in the animal industry by attending North Carolina State University and receiving a B.S. in Zoology with minors in both Animal Science and Nutrition. During her senior year at NCSU, she was introduced to animal chiropractic in one of her equine science courses and decided to pursue the career. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree for humans from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina and continued with post graduate training in animal chiropractic in Texas. Following this training she became a certified animal chiropractor by the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).

The AVCA was founded in 1989 by Dr. Sharon Willoughby, DVM, DC, with the purpose of establishing standards of education and practice in the field of animal chiropractic. The AVCA only offers certification in Animal Chiropractic to licensed Chiropractors and Veterinarians, who in turn must satisfy continuing education requirements to maintain a current status. The Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) is the primary national credential for this field in North America. More information about AVCA doctors can be found at animalchiropractic.org

Dr. Morgan moved to Wisconsin following her graduation from Sherman College where she ran her own practice for 2 years. Following the birth of her daughter, Dr. Morgan decided to move back to North Carolina to be closer to family and the Blue Ridge Mountains that have always been home. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her husband, Brett, daughter, Sadie, and their two dogs, Zoe and Ace. She also enjoys riding her horses, Dixie and Drifter, and working on her family’s cattle farm.  Dr. Morgan looks forward to working with you and your animal to help you both maximize your health.
